| I went to the Billy Graham Crusade. It was crazyness. There were
protesters, with signs that said "God caused the tsunami" and "Jesus
Kills Repent" and "Graham leads to hell". Now, I was listening to the
guy speaking, He actually sounded like a smart guy and all. I could see
where he was coming from. But to be honest, I could make solid biblical
arguements in my head against his points. He said, that people pray for
the Holy Spirit to come into their lives, but their lives continue on
the way they were and if they go to hell they'll be like "i went to a
Billy Graham Crusade, how can this be?"
The first point I'd like to make is what gets you into heaven. A
RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST. There is NO way other than that.
There's a song that says "You can't skate your way to heaven or ride a
kite to heaven" and that is the truth. You can't follow anyone into
heaven, and you can't carry anyone into heaven. Jesus is the
intersessor. He stands before God on our behalf! He is the lamb of God
which was slain for us. He is the way the truth and the life. No one
can go to God except through him. (John 14) Now, simply saying the
Sinner's Prayer, that you know you're a sinner and that your sorry,
doens't mean anything unless you MEANT it in your heart.
My second point is that you must allow the Holy Spirit to work in your
life. You must make a bit of an effort, asking him to HELP. He will,
but you can't keep going to the club and still pray asking for help not
to fool around with women/men. You need to take the club out of your
life. Ask God to reveal to you what in your life is holding you back,
and you need to get rid of those things. If you keep living the way you
were, that is your own doing.
My third point is the fact that being at the Billy Graham Crusade
doesn't save you. Just because you weant to the alter doesn't mean
you're going to heaven. Unless you seriously dedicate your life to God
and our Lord and Savior Yeshua, then going to the crusade is just
useless for you. That doesn't make Billy Graham a false teacher.
My final point is about God causing the tsunami. I believe with all my
heart that God did not want those people to die. The bible says that
God doesn't delight in the demise of the wicked, but rather that they
should turn from their evil ways. He allowed this and 9/11 to happen to
remind us that we cannot live by our own strength, and we need Christ.
We cannot do anything alone. I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me. (Phillipians 4:13)
If you decide to discard this simply because I am young, remember 1
Timothy 4:12. It says, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you
are young, but set an example for believers in speach, in life, in
love, in faith and in purity." I would also like to say that
Christianity, TRUE Christianity, is not a religion. It is a
